The Widow's Offering
The other night while doing some bible studying I came across the passage of Jesus speaking about the poor (very) poor woman who gave the only two coins she has for the offering in the synagogue while the Pharisee's gave large amounts of money. This passage really stuck me. Thinking of Jesus saying these very words, thinking of the woman giving all the money she had as an offering, letting go of her money in love for God. The feeling she must have felt inside. And just trying to connect and relate to her.
As Jesus looked up, he saw the rich putting their gifts into the temple treasury. 2 He also saw a poor widow put in two very small copper coins. 3 “Truly I tell you,” he said, “this poor widow has put in more than all the others. 4 All these people gave their gifts out of their wealth; but she out of her poverty put in all she had to live on.”
Why I am posting about this very passage today is because during discussion of tithing this morning at church, it arose in my mind. It is true that one tenth of all we have BELONGS to God who creates all, and blesses all. Watching a sermon online the other night with a small segment on giving, and what to do if you are unable to financially give one tenth (due to bills, children, expenses that God needs you to pay for [basics to live]) that I believe in my heart that when we give what we are really able to give with our whole heart to further the Kingdom of God, and God's Outreach, that God looks upon us, the offering (especially knowing how controlling money is in the world), and blesses us, from a $1, to $10 to $100 as much as we are able to give.

I know that might sound strange, but I'm sure there are some of you that can relate, I guess most of it is due to what I have deal with so finally finding true healing and living (actually, fully living) can still feel...well shaky at times lol .
